ATTENTION GOLF LOVERS & TRAVELERS:
The Nullarbor Links is a 18-hole par 72 golf course that spans 1,365 kilometers (or for people from the states, 848 miles...YES, it is 848 miles long)with one hole in each town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway, from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South Australia. Each hole includes a green and tee and somewhat rugged outback-style natural terrain fairway. The course provides an "Australian experience" and a much-needed activity/attraction for travelers along the renowned desolate highway.
For those that need a little recognition (like me) or just a memento for your accomplishment. A completion certificate is given to all players that have their score card stamped at each hole. A round of golf takes approximately 3-4 days. How cool is that?
The Nullarbor Links plans to TEE off in October 2009. We all have time to build our endurance. Now go hit the driving range, Happy Golfing!
